Both Pocono Races Sponsored, and Streamed Live

 


Thrustmaster Pro Series has announced that they have partnered with 3 local Pocono businesses to sponsor the ePocono Doubleheader weekend starting July 16.  Pocono Organics of Blakeslee will sponsor 2 races , the first race of the Cup Series doubleheader, the Pocono Organics 150 on July 16 and the Truck Series race The Pocono Organics 50 on July 15. Ray Price Chevrolet will sponsor the second race of the Cup Series, The Ray Price Chevrolet 200 on July 17.  The Fireworks Superstore of Tannersville will sponsor the Xfinity Series race also on July 17.

The ePocono Doubleheader weekend Cup Series races will be streamed live on Traxion, while the Truck and Xfinity Series races will be streaming live on Twitch.

Thrustmaster Pro Series President, Kevin Ball said in a statement to all drivers that this is a "huge turning point for our Series that could potentially lead to more sponsorship opportunities for drivers, and potentially opens the door for all races having purse payouts...".

Dennis Brown Wins Kentucky and Kansas Back-To-Back

Prior to Monday's 1.5 mile Tri-Oval Twin races, Dennis Brown (GT: BrownIsTheNewBlack) had never won a Thrustmaster Pro Series Cup race.  It took 5 and a half season, 173 races, for Brown to finally land in Winners Circle. Brown dominated Kansas for his first career win and then ran strong at Kentucky for career win #2. "It's been a long time coming, I actually thought about retiring" laughed Brown as he was swamped with congratulations by fellow drivers over his headset.  "I've always ran well at these 2 tracks and figured they would be my best shots to win so I put in a lot of practice the past week...  these new setup rules aren't easy to work with but they definitely make for good racing". Brown, who has been in every playoffs every one of his 6 seasons (minus the shorted Season 5) stamped his invitation to this year's playoffs.

Wright, Hauser Top Power Rankings

Bobby Decker Jr. Season 6 has been incredible thus far.  Series veteran Tyler Wright and rookie Tom Hauser have been engaged in a fierce battle for the Regular Season Points Championship.  Wright and Hauser have scored 2 wins each, with Hauser scoring 7 stage wins to Wright's 1.  However, Wright has been very consistent this season, having only finished outside the Top 10 once. The pair have also become heated rivals on the track.  On several occasions, the pair have sparred on the track and on the headset, but don't let that fool you...  there's nothing but respect between the two.
